Clinical research on CPC and hyaluronic acid mouthrinse
Tadakamadla and colleagues reported a randomized, double-blind trial involving 75 young dental students over 21 days. The study compared CPC–hyaluronic acid, chlorhexidine, and placebo rinses. Plaque accumulation was greater with placebo. Differences in gingivitis between groups were not statistically significant. Staining increased in the chlorhexidine and placebo groups; the CPC–hyaluronic acid group did not show a significant increase.
The publication describes Gengyve supplied by CDR Pharma, Italy, which also funded the study. These findings concern the formulation and short study period evaluated. They do not establish long-term superiority, prove zero risk of staining, or show that mouthwash treats established periodontitis. Compare the study formulation with the current product label when applying the findings.

Related research on hyaluronic acid
A separate study evaluated a hyaluronic acid spray in 60 people with gingivitis over one week. It reported improvements in several measures of gum inflammation without a significant change in plaque. This was ingredient research using a spray, not a trial of Gengyve mouthwash.
