Hyaluronic acid is structurally related to glycosaminoglycogens, that means it attracts water and acts as a hydrating cushion. The highest concentration of HA in the human is the umbilical cord, where it plays a critical role in maintaining the connection between mom and baby. Gengyve exploits these physical properties of HA to protect and heal the oral mucosa.

Pullulan & PVP

Pullulan is derived from a specific fungal species that produces it as a defense mechanism against microbes. It helps the fungus resist pathogens because it is sticky and this is useful because adding it to the formulation increases it's muco adhesiveness, leading to prolonged barrier activity.
